To all Dental Health Concepts patients,
As you all know, the situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is changing on a daily, if not more frequent, basis as new information and guidelines emerge.
Your health and well-being and that of our staff are still our highest priority. We want to be doing everything we can to protect your health and to also be as prudent as possible in reducing any possible spread of the virus.
The Massachusetts Dental Society sent us a statement last night strongly recommending that dental offices close from March 17th – April 6th for all elective and non-essential treatment. We have made the decision to adhere to this recommendation.
During this time period, there will be no hygiene appointments. If you have an appointment with a hygienist you will be contacted in the near future to reschedule your appointment.
Any treatment appointments – i.e. fillings, crowns, etc. – will be delayed unless we feel it is a situation that should not wait for a 3 week period. Any patient scheduled with one of the doctors during this time will be contacted to either reschedule or to discuss when to come in to address specific needs.
We will remain “on-call” for any emergency situations, in the same way we do during off hours. If you have an emergency, call the office at 978-664-3141 and you will be given the number of the doctor on call.
We hope you can understand this decision. It was not one that we came to lightly, but ultimately felt it was the right decision for our patients, our staff and the community at large. We are here to answer any of your questions and will be open today to field your phone calls and emails. We will of course continue to respond to emails and voicemails we receive after today and throughout the closure. This situation is fluid and if there are any changes you will be notified as soon as possible.
Remember we are all in this together, and together we will get through it.
With sincerity and gratitude,
Drs. Tonelli, Webster, Crowley, Tonelli and the Team at Dental Health Concepts
