Where damage to a patient’s teeth is more substantial or a fractured cusp of a tooth is present, we can use crowns (caps) to make the smile appear "as new". Crowns effectively provide strength to teeth whose strength has been compromised beyond the capacity of a more conservative filling. Whether a single tooth cusp is cracked or a number of teeth have been severely over filled or worn due to clenching or grinding, crowns are an extremely reliable technique for restoring these most serious dental problems.
The fabrication of a single crown requires at least two visits to our office.
Careful consideration is taken by your doctor at our on site lab to prepare the models to allow for precise replication, individualized custom size and characteristic shape of each individual crown. This step (often overlooked in standard dental practice) is a standard of excellence that is routine at Dental Health Concepts. The fabrication of the gold substructure and visible porcelain is completed by a Certified Dental Technician. We utilize many of the finest dental laboratories for this technique, each of whose expertise complements your crowns unique requirements. These labs, in turn, use only the highest grade materials available.
In past generations, most dentistry and dental restorations look like dentistry. Our goal is to provide dentistry that is lifelike, highly aesthetic and long lasting. We endeavor to replace existing crowns and fillings with restorations that look and feel like your natural teeth!
All of your teeth play an important role in speaking, chewing and in maintaining proper alignment of other teeth. Tooth loss is not inevitable with age, but if you do lose teeth, they must be replaced to maintain proper function of your mouth including speech, appearance and eating. Fortunately, there are options for replacing teeth lost to disease or trauma.
